    baebo.francisshanahan.com - Amazon, eBay Mashable

    baebo

BaeBo is a site that allows you to compare prices from Amazon, eBay and Yahoo all in one place and in real time. Perform an Amazon search at BaeBo and instantly compare with eBay prices which appear in the background. You can also monitor specific items and prices on Amazon with RSS feeds or search Amazon from your Blackberry by using BaeBo’s WML interface. This last feature allows you to check prices when you are actually in the store and ready to buy. To put it simply, BaeBo ensures that you will always get the best price for what you are looking for and that you are as informed as possible. Check Flickr for photos of the product or Technorati for blogging results of the product you are interested in, in real time.

    In their own words

Through BaeBo you can browse, search and purchase products from Amazon's entire product catalog. When you search Amazon, BaeBo will load eBay results in the background. When you view details of an Amazon product, BaeBo will load similar products in the background! You can create product feeds through RSS (see What's RSS?) for Amazon product data. This allows you to stay up to date on any set of products and their prices so you never miss a deal. BaeBo has a WML interface located here, when you're on the move you can search Amazon's product database using your Blackberry!

Why it might be a killer

By allowing us to search multiple databases at the same time for the best price, search and purchase Amazon products from a PDA, and get real time RSS updates from Amazon, BaeBo could become a one stop shoppers dream. If they can work on making the user interface even easier than it is, it will appeal to the masses.

    Some questions

Can they make the interface user-friendly enough to appeal to the masses? As it currently stands, this site will probably only appeal to a select bunch of “techies” as the average person will probably not grasp exactly what it does.
