Intuit Labs has created a nifty new Firefox extension called ThumbStrips. The add-on creates a filmstrip of history screenshots. Rather than having to scroll through page names in your history sidebar, trying to remember just what was what, you’ll have a nice, clear thumbnail visual of each page you’ve visited. It makes it super simple to go back to pages you’ve visited. It works across tabs and the toolbar comes with full scroll and record controls. ThumbStrips also features with a collaborative search component for sharing histories, pages etc. You must have Firefox 2.0 installed.

ThumbStrips is a clever invention. Who hasn’t gotten lost in their history? Trying to navigate through all that text can be difficult. Pictures are much easier to contend with. A visual history of your page visits saves you from headaches and from having to think too much.

Right now it’s free, but will Intuit charge later on? Does it show videos and flash pages? Can it be easily disabled?
