There is a great deal of video content on the web that is appropriate and fun for children and parents to watch together, but there is also a great deal of content that is completely inappropriate for children. Totlol is a site designed for child friendly video content. Totlol appeals to a viewing audience under the age of thirteen and contains videos which are fun and educational. The videos com from YouTube and are submitted by the community. The community is made up of parents who are concerned with keeping the site content in line with theme of child appropriate fun. Parents can search through YouTube and find fun videos that they believe to be appropriate for children. Parents then submit the videos they find to Totlol and the community watches and grades the videos during the screening period. Only videos that pass the screening section are posted on the site. The community aspect keeps the community in charge of the sites content. Totlol is a fun way to spend time with you tot and watch fun educational videos.

"Online video is a great new experience, and new parents discovered that showing their tots videos on the computer screen is a great way to spend time together. So they head to the leading video websites.
Most video websites use some method of content filtering to block content that is considered inappropriate for young adults. While the sites have great content for all ages, including tots and kids, they were not intended for children under the age of 13.
They provide no way to filter anything that may be inappropriate and they provide very limited tools to find what is appropriate and relevant.
This is where Totlol steps in.
Videos available at Totlol are all intended to be enjoyed by tots. Parents can easily find the content they want because all the quot;other stuff" is now out of the way."

Totlol has a fun and cheery interface design and the site is easy to navigate. Totlol has an excellent “about” section that thoroughly describes the site and the process of approving videos which is accompanied by screen shots. Searching for videos is easy because there are many categories to choose from. Totlol also has a channels section which gives users more options to choose from.

There are other children video focused sites, how will Totlol deal with competition? It would be nice if Totlol would let the community post information on parenting tips or suggestions of good children’s videos.
