HomeCourtX.com - Keep the Ball Moving

Homecourt operates on the principle of assigning responsibility: you literally place "balls" into the appropriate court. These balls are the individual actions that make up a project, so at a glance you can tell what areas are for you to deal with, and what the client has to cover. As responsibility shifts, you can throw the ball into the other court. Homecourt also includes the ability to have discussions for each action, and has a robust file upload capability, to make file sharing a snap. Another handy feature for small agencies is the invoice tool, which presents your invoices along with a prominent "pay date" indicator. Homecourt is intended to act as your company's "extranet", a secure place where you and your clients can log in to discuss the details of your work. It's appropriate not only for Web developers (like myself), but for anyone who has clients: designers, writers, marketers, building contractors, accountants, lawyers. You can sign up for a free account, which lets you host a single project. You'll get your own domain (yourcompany.homecourtx.com), and an environment to which you can add your own logo. When you're ready to step up to a paid plan with more projects, they start at just $10/month. You can learn more about Homecourt, and watch video demos of the system in action, by visiting homecourtx.com.

  In their own words

“Manage your clients with a web-based collaboration tool that tracks your projects, files and invoices, and keeps the ball moving.”

Why it might be a killer

Homecourt provides a much more intuitive interface for small agencies who deal with clients. The unique "balls and courts" metaphor makes assigning responsibility natural and easy to comprehend. For small agencies who deal with clients, this tool could represent a massive leap forward in their productivity.

  Some questions

This seems to be a very complete service for demanding people. Will a considerable amount of people pay to get this service?
