That’s why Zebtab’s site doesn’t mention any of those words. Instead, Zebtab markets its RSS aggregator as desktop channels that let users view their favorite content on their desktop. Downloaded, Zebtab, appears on the desktop as a sort of online magazine format with tabs for each different channel. Zebtab comes with a few preset channels, Maxim and betting site At The Races, among them. The Zebtab client tucks into the side of your screen when not in use and will pop up again once new content comes along. Windows is required to download.

Zebtab is great for the not so tech savvy to get into rss feeds. It’s downloadable and works on your desktop so that you don’t have to worry about aggregators and adding content to your feed river.

Will users want something that comes preloaded content like Maxim? Will users want to download the client or would they prefer something web-based? What about Mac users?
