ZAC stands for Zone for Autistic Children and it is a wonderful online environment especially designed for children with autism and autism spectrum disorders. The browser is intended to be an enjoyable experience for kids and is full of games and activities which span a wide area of interests. The focus is on improving communication, expanding interests and curtailing repetitive behavior. While the main focus is on the children, ZAC also serves as a forum for parents, teachers and caretakers who want to interact, share experiences and unite to improve the knowledge and care of these special children.

In their own words
“ZAC is the first web browser developed specifically for children with autism, and autism spectrum disorders such as Asperger syndrome, pervasive developmental disorders (PDD), and PDD-NOS. We have made this browser for the children - for their enjoyment, enrichment, and freedom. Children touch it, use it, play it, interact with it, and experience independence through ZAC.”
Why it might be a killer
There is a massive community of people that will be interested in using this great resource. Look for this to become a very popular tool for children as well as one that is promoted by their parents.
Some questions
Would this also be a useful tool for children with ADD or is it only suitable for autistic and autistic spectrum children? Have they considered expanding the forum section to include expert advice as well?
