YackTrack.com - Find Out Who's Talking About You

    yacktrack

YackTrack solves a problem that has sprung up of late for bloggers and content producers-- namely, the problem of keeping track of comments. With the advent of sites like FriendFeed that allow distributed commenting, bloggers had a hard time keeping up with up their comments. They’d have to search their own site as well as the other sites just to track the conversation. This is where YackTrack comes in handy. YackTrack is a simple tool built in response to the rise of distributing commenting. YackTrack allows users to enter the URL for the site with the comments you want to track and hit the “Search for URL” button. YackTrack will track down the sites, Digg, Mixx, and FriendFeed among them, and you can keep the conversation going. YackTrack is currently in beta, but a lot more tools (RSS, email etc) are in the works.

    In their own words

“This is the point of YackTrack. As a content producer, you can search for comments on your content from various sources or other blogs that talk about your content. Granted, this may sound like it is targeted at the content producer, but it can also help the people commenting on the content themselves. If you have commented on a blog post, you can find other people that are commenting on the post and join the conversation on other sites. Obviously, content producers benefit as they can track various services from just one location. YackTrack currently supports Digg, Disqus, FriendFeed, Mixx, StumbleUpon, Technorati, and WordPress blogs. Obviously, this list should expand as the site continues to grow.?”

Why it might be a killer

YackTrack is a smart and simple tool created in response to new developments in the web. It simplifies the process of keeping track of conversations and lets bloggers and content producers in on what’s being said where.

    Some questions

Will YackTrack’s distributed comment solution work? Can it handle a large load of traffic? What about services like Blogger or Typepad?
