Wordy Birdie is a word game for twitter that Grigsby describes as “part buzzword bingo, part drinking game.” Users enter in a list of ten words they think will appear on a twitter update. As those words come up, those same users (or “birdies,” as they are referred to on the site) gain points. Some users have amassed nearly three hundreds points. Popular words range from “twitter” and “coffee” to “mac” and “work.” But words are not limited to these common choices: two individuals placed their bets on the word “leopard.”

You don't even have to create a separate account. Simply sign in and create a list of 10 words. Wordy Birdie handles all of the score calculations automatically, notifying you daily with your results.”

Wordy Birdie is a cute, simple game. One of its major points is that it has strategy associated with traditional “time waster” games, but Wordy Birdie does the calculations for you- meaning that you have time to do actual work (although for some that may not be a "killer"…)

Do you get more points for guessing more obscure words? Could users send updates from their own twitter accounts and have those counts as word predictions?
