Whatstheweather.net - Forecast Meets Flickr

Who do you trust more—A) Your weatherman or B) Your perpetually connected, hi-tech PC? If your answer was A, then you’re probably used to going out dressed for high summer during a rainstorm. And, if you answered B, you probably don’t care, because you won’t be going outside for a while, if at all. But just in case you did care to know, you might want to check out the newly launched site, aptly titled, Whatstheweather. Whatstheweather.net will indeed tell you if it’s rain or shine, or hurricane, or flood, or hell and highwater for that matter. To boot, it’ll also give you a nice background pic from Flickr. It’s a simple site. It doesn’t give you more than you need—simply the weather at the moment you want it. You don’t have to deal with future forecasts, or highs and lows even, just the current temp and a nice, calming pic.

If you want the weather served straight and pretty, Whatstheweather is for you. It’s simple and pleasant to look at. Flickr photos make it look nice. You can even showcase your own Flickr photos.

Who will use Whatstheweather? It’s not that indepth and it works with a browser only. People usually want more from their forecast. Will they create more features, functionality?
