If you're a die-hard Babel Fish devotee, you may want to abandon Alta Vista's service for a minute and check out Webnary. Webnary is a new online multilingual translator which not only offers more supported languages than Babel Fish, it also produces a much more thorough list of results. Though you can't currently enter multiple search terms at once or cut and paste a block of text like you can on Babel Fish, if you're looking to translate just one word at a time Webnary can definitely help you out. Instead of turning just a one-word translation for your search term, Webnary also produces a list of other terms and phrases that feature your word. For example, if you enter in "hair", you'll not only receive a translation for that word, but also any idioms or expressions that use it ("get out of my hair", "hair-brained", etc). Webnary currently operates in 21 languages, and you can translate back and forth between any one of them. Non-Western character sets are supported.
