The job search, application process, and actual on-site work now take place primarily online- why should your CV not be updated accordingly? VisualCV brings your resume into the twenty-first century. The program incorporates audio, video, charts and graphs into your electronic resume. This means that employers don’t have to wait for if and when they schedule an interview with you to see your body of work- they can see it immediately. In addition, VisualCV links background information about former employers and educational institutions within the resume, so employers can cut out search time.

“Words on paper or on screen can communicate only so much. With a VisualCV, you can enhance the words in your resume with photographs, charts and graphs, video, audio clips, and additional documents (such as letters of recommendation or examples of your work) that paint a richer and more meaningful picture of who you are and the value you offer.”
| Why it might be a killer | |||
VisualCV is a clever idea to update the traditional resume. It also allows applicants to stand out in the job market, and cuts out unnecessary steps (phone and in-person interviews) that make it more difficult for employers to see a body of work. Plus, it is entirely free.
| Some questions | |||
Once the company introduces a subscription model and banner ads on the site, will it de-legitimize the resume? Will employers be frustrated that how they receive resumes and candidate information will not be on their terms?

| The above comment is totally fabricated from someone close to the company. If I may suggest anything for future thought, don't write a review or comment that is absolutely one sided and ends with a ! | ||

| I have been looking for a way to get a professional resume up on the web. I put out a search on elance.com and got dozens of responses from word smiths but they did not have the HTML skills. I was willing to pay $500 for a professional executive type resume. VisualCV is just what I was waiting for! | ||
