You’d think MySpace would have jumped into chatspace with open arms, afterall Facebook did it, and their numbers are on par with MySpace. Sure, MySpace has MySpaceIM, but with that, Mac users are left to fend for themselves. It’s a Windows-only download, so the rest of the MySpace crowd is out of luck. Unless, of course, they try a number third party apps like Adium or Trillian. Or you could try the newly released UnofficialMySpaceIM which is a flash-based chat client that allows for quick and easy conversation without much setup. In fact, all you really need is to verify yourself as a member of MySpace and then you’re good to go. UnofficialMySpaceIM is free too.

UnofficialMySpaceIM is a good tool or Macs and others to chat on MySpace without having to worry about compatibility. And it doesn’t require hardware downloads or software.
