Twitterverse is the latest mashup of the increasingly popular Twitter. It takes information from twitters coming from a certain period of time, and then analyzes them to see which words are being typed the most. The site just launched, so there´s a lot of development to come, such as a bigger filter on the kinds of words being displayed, but it´s fun to look through. You would never think that some of the most typed words are people´s names. The biggest words are generally verbs like watching, listening, and going. I clicked on “pizza”, a relatively small word in the list (meaning it´s been typed less than others on the list) and was surprised to see a long list already accumulated of people talking about how they wanted pizza or were waiting for it to be delivered. More time limitations and possibly grouping the words by their type (people´s names, verbs, food, etc.) could be cool functions to see on the site to make it more specific and useful.
