And now you can, because there’s a new Twitter app designed specifically for just that.

TwitterSnooze lets you turn off some of those tweet streams. So if you happen to be bogged down by your new Twitter boyfriend, or maybe even, work you can simply shut down on some of the people who are tweeting in the way. Don’t worry, they won’t know that you’ve temporarily hit the snooze button on them. It’s secret, that is until, you’ve turned them back on again. Then, they’ll be informed that you had them on pause for a little while.To use, just enter your username and password, as well as the person you’re Snoozin’ and the length of the Snooze. If you’re feeling catty, you can even announce the Snooze on Twitter.
