TwitterSnooze.com - Annoying Tweet? Hit Snooze.

    twittersnooze

Do you find yourself constantly on Twitter practically 24/7 (save for that bit of sleep you get in between tweets)? Do you tweet your every move and breath? And when not tweeting yourself, do you find yourself following a million tweet streams of friends, coworkers and funny strangers? If so, you might want to step back, take a break once in a while. And now you can, because there’s a new Twitter app designed specifically for just that. TwitterSnooze lets you turn off some of those tweet streams. So if you happen to be bogged down by your new Twitter boyfriend, or maybe even, work you can simply shut down on some of the people who are tweeting in the way. Don’t worry, they won’t know that you’ve temporarily hit the snooze button on them. It’s secret, that is until, you’ve turned them back on again. Then, they’ll be informed that you had them on pause for a little while. To use, just enter your username and password, as well as the person you’re Snoozin’ and the length of the Snooze. If you’re feeling catty, you can even announce the Snooze on Twitter.

    In their own words

“Hit the snooze button on your 'verbose' Twitter Friends.”

Why it might be a killer

TwitterSnooze is a handy tool to use when you want to make an underhanded statement. It’s great for giving someone the online silent treatment and then telling them about it. It’s also very easy to use.

    Some questions

Why make the Snooze known to the user after the fact? Doesn’t this make TwitterSnooze unappealing to some users who want to be more discreet? Will the Snooze become a sort of kick in the face action like pokes and kicks in Facebook?
