TwitterMail.com - Send Tweets to Your Inbox

    twittermail

Wouldn’t life be sweeter if all of your tweets could appear bright and bubbly everyday, sitting in your email box? Give your twitter credentials to TwitterMail.com and they’ll give you your own email address and this glorious dream could soon be your reality. You’ll receive all of your latests tweet replies directly in your inbox. You can also send a message with “friends” as your subject, and then you’ll be sent back a list of the latest 20 postings from your pals. This service also eliminates the pain of having to say everything in that nasty little 140 character limit; now you can tweet to your hearts content and TwitterMail will simply put a “read more” once you hit the Twitter limit. Other features include the ability to delay postings for a specified time, and coverting longer URLs to shorter ones.

    In their own words

“When you give us your Twitter credentials we supply you with a TwitterMail email address. For instance abcdef1234@twittermail.com. If you send an email to that address it will be posted to Twitter.com. Receive your latest twitter-replies automatically by e-mail! Send an e-mail to your secret TwitterMail address. The body of the message will be published in your Twitter Profile. For a normal message, you should always leave the subject-line empty.”

Why it might be a killer

Twittermail is great because, even when the site times out or is unavailable, you can still post on twitter through this service. Great for those who prefer the layout of and email but still want to recieve tweets. It makes up some for where twitter lacks, in terms of character limits and time specified postings.

    Some questions

Is this really necessary, isn’t the purpose of email forwarding to eliminate going to the site outside of your inbox to see updates? (you’ll need to access their site every time you want to view tweet emails.) Is there a way to forward all of your tweets to your existing email address?
