    Twitlet.com - A Faster Way To Tweet

    twitlet

If Twitter has become something akin to your right hand, you are certain to appreciate a service like this one. In general terms, Twitlet is a javascript bookmarklet that can be used to post updates to Twitter right on the spot.

That is, Twitlet features a javascript prompt window by way of interface, and this prompt window can be used to post tweets. It is as easy as that.

The implementation of the service is equally painless, as you don’t even need to sign up to use Twitlet, and you don’t have to download anything either. The creation process involves dragging and dropping the respective elements into the desired destination, and from that point onwards you can start tweeting in a different context, or from a different setting according to your perception.

Note that this service is still in beta, and that it is no foolproof in any way. Features are being constantly added, and some of the most recent additions include support for short URLs. If you use Twitlet and happen to like it do not hesitate to contact the team at twitlet@gmail.com and let them know how to best improve it.

    In their own words

“Twitlet is a javascript bookmarklet for fast updating your Twitter (microblogging service) status.”

Why it might be a killer

All the many micro-blogging adepts will find it a nifty little tool, as it makes tweeting an even more immediate task.

    Some questions

What shortcomings should be addressed next in order to make it become more mainstream?
