The whole Twitter craze wouldn’t be complete without a separate, but thorough index of Twitter users, now would it? TwitDir is just that. Using Twitter’s API they index Twitterers on a regular basis.

Of course only public Twitter users are added to the TwitDir database, so if you prefer to be unlisted, it’s absolutely not a problem. You can also directly connect the site if you can’t wait to be included in the directory. TwitDir works like a search engine. To find someone, simply type in their name/location in the search bar; alternately, you can easily check out the top 100 followed, the top 100 updaters and the top 100 followers. TwitDir is free, but they do accept donations.
