Twitter addicts, this one’s for you. Twiddict, a new Twitter support service, allows users to check whether Twitter.com is up and running or not. Twiddict continuously pings over to the Twitter API, hammering back to see if the site is down. As soon as Twitter is back on its feet, Twiddict sends the users a message letting them know is well once again in Twitterland. While the site is down, users can post their comments on Twiddict and have them saved. Users just have to specify who they are, and from there, Twiddict will publish the posts to the appropriate user’s account. Of course, Twitter users can log in to their Twitter account right from the Twiddict homepage.

In their own words
“We love Twitter. We hate when it's down. If you're addicted to Twitter as well, tweet your heart out through Twiddict and avoid life-changing withdrawal symptoms during Twitter downtime. We'll make sure your tweets end up where they belong.”
Why it might be a killer
Twiddict is a very basic site. Still, it is a great way to let users to stay in the know when Twitter is down for the count. This service is a useful and feeds the Twitter addiction that so many of us share.
Some questions
Can any other services be introduced through Twiddict? How can Twitter users learn about this service? What other additional information should be posted on the site to explain the service?
