Looking back at the countless Twitter apps that are released on a daily basis, I realize that the ones for taking care of your Twitter following top the list. There is an explanation for that, namely how easy it is for that to escalate and for you to end up following more people than its right, for the mere reason most turn out to be utter, unconnected strangers.

What TwerpScan does is to check the number of followers that you have and see which ones are tweeple and which ones are, well, twerps. It does so by computing the ratio between the number of contacts you have, the number of people they are following, how often they tweet….
