In their own words
"Twellow.com is currently grabbing every single message that is publicly available from the Twitter.com micro-blogging service. We then analyze and categorize each of the users responsible for those messages into the various categories found at Twellow.com. By adding these people to specific categories we help you narrow your searching into specific niches where you can find who you are looking for. In addition to Twitter, we're actively working on adding more social media services to broaden your capacity to find people who matter."
Why it might be a killer
It’s a new way to use the information found on Twitter that is more useful in actual life versus just finding new people to follow in your area or seeing which are the most popular words being tweeted. If they could link this with Twitter users having a more in depth profile, that could be interesting.
Some questions
How are people grouped, since some of the people listed for each category don’t really make sense based on what they are known for? Exactly how are people supposed to use this information to further what they do or are looking for?
