Tweleted.com - Bringing Your Deleted Tweets Back

    tweleted

Tweleted is the latest viral app on the twitter scene. Basically what it allows you to do is recover the tweets that you have accidentally deleted from your account. It works in a very simple way, all you have to do is give them your user name and they will try and find all the tweets that have been deleted. Apparently they don’t do anything funny with your tweets, they just exploit a lag between some of the twitter services. What happens is that whenever you delete a tweet the database at search.twitter.com that indexes all of your tweets has not yet been updated. What the app does, then, is go and cross refer the tweets on your profile to the ones on search.twitter.com. In this way whatever it finds on the search domain that is not in your profile will be a deleted tweet.

In all honesty, this is a very clever little app to take advantage of this exploit. Furthermore, with twitter gaining more and more preponderance in the current web 2.0 scene apps like these will consequently carry a lot of traffic with them.

    In their own words

'Recover accidentally deleted Twitter messages. Find the tweets you've lost.'

Why it might be a killer

It is a very cool app for all the twitter addicts out there.

    Some questions

How effective is the app at recovering the lost tweets?
