    TweetWhatYouEat.com - Eat and Tweet

    tweetwhatyoueat

You probably do it already, but now at TweetWhatYouEat, you can jot down the contents of your recently filled belly in a more official manner. TWYE can be used as a food diary for those looking to keep track of their daily bites in order to rein in their habits and stick to their New Year’s resolutions. Using is a simple as sending a tweet to TWYE. Twit ‘follow twye’ and you and twye will become buds. From there send direct messages with what you’ve eaten to twye, prefaced with the lietter d. Use a colon to associate food items and their calorie content; commas separate items.

    In their own words

"Tweetwhatyoueat, or TWYE for short, is Twitter-based food diary. Use Twitter to track what you eat by ‘tweeting’ food items you’ve eaten from your mobile phone, IM or through Twitter.com."

Why it might be a killer

This is a clever little app. Most people use Twitter to post about just this sort of thing, but with TWYE you can turn your tweets into something more practical. It’s an easy extension of your daily tweeting habits. Could really help you tame your stomach.

    Some questions

Looking at all these tweets about food might make you even more hungry and spoil your diet. Will more tools be in place, perhaps a means to get support buddies, or to calculate total calories?
