The new buzz in the Twitter neighborhood is all about TweetClouds. This is another Twitter app that uses the service’s API to create word clouds based on the most frequently used words in any given Twitterer’s tweets. Of course you can only produce clouds from public Twitter accounts—private member accounts are off limits. The more prominent a word is in a cloud, the more it’s used. The most abused terms will appear bold and large. Do keep in mind that TweetClouds isn’t your most speedy app—it takes about .04 seconds per tweet, so be prepared to wait. The end result can be pretty interesting though. You also have the option to make a word cloud from free text.
