    Twalala.com - Twitter With A Mute Button

    twalala

Twitter is constantly being developed, and by now it is clear that it is not only here to stay, but that it will leave an indelible mark on the way that we communicate with each other.

The solution we are discussing right now can be defined in a couple of choice words: A mute button for Twitter. That is, Twalala not only does let you monitor what you see in your Twitter stream, but also what you don’t see. This is achieved by letting you silence those Twitterers who get in your nerves, and also by enabling you to filter out tweets out of your stream by setting down keywords and phrases.

Using this client is not only quite straightforward, but it is also free. All you have to do in order to get going is furnish your Twitter credentials.

Note that this new project is still in beta, so don’t expect everything to work flawlessly. Also, if you come across something that should not be there, do make a point of contacting the team at twalala.info@gmail.com and let them know about your experience, as well as showing your support.

    In their own words

“Get ready to take control of your twitterstream. twalala is a client for Twitter that allows you to control what you see, and more importantly, what you don't see in your twitterstream. Using twalala, you can filter tweets out of your stream by keywords and phrases or mute individuals who get a bit too chatty. Finally, Twitter with a mute button.”

Why it might be a killer

Tweetaholics everywhere will appreciate the added flexibility.

    Some questions

How configurable is it? How many keywords and phrases can you set down? Is there a limit?
