For the not quite comfortable with Web 2.0 and all it's implications, applications, and imitations, there's always the downloadable desktop alternative. If you weren't comfortable with, for instance, uploading YouTube videos via the web, now there's a desktop application you can use. It's similar to desktop photo uploading apps for sites like Flickr or Picasa, however, it's for video. The site is called Tubupy, and it's the first of its kind. It makes being able to upload your videos to YouTube a breeze. It was made using Adobe's AIR and is downloadable with all OS's including Mac, Linux and Windows. To use simply download Tubupy to your desktop. Once you've done that, the hard part is over. To upload videos requires a simple sign in to your YouTube account and then a mere drag and drop. That's it--it's the very definition of simplicity. For now, it's free.
