Trendpedia.com - Tracking Trends in the Blogosphere

    trendpedia

Trendpedia, which is powered by Attentio, a Brussels based market intelligence company, seeks out trends in the blogosphere. It’s basically a simple search engine which scans for trends in blog posts and then composes graphs, called Trendlines, giving you a clear visualization of what’s hot on the internet. You can search via keywords or phrases. Once you click on a graph, articles are collected by date and organized into tabs, allowing you to see how spikes occurred. Additionally, searches can be linked to your site, so you can monitor which topics are getting the most buzz. Popular trends from the week and month are listed on the homepage.

    In their own words

“Trendpedia is your free entry in to what’s Buzz in the Blog-o-sphere.

Search blogs — discover who’s discussing what, where, when and how. Trendpedia finds trends in social media. You choose the topics, enter the keywords, and click “Search Trend”.

Trendpedia finds the articles online that talk about your topics. Trendpedia organizes the articles in a trendline that shows the popularity of the topic over time — you can track a topic’s trendline from three months ago up to today.”

Why it might be a killer

Trendpedia provides bloggers with an easy tool to find out what’s buzzworthy, so they can gear their blogs in that direction, attracting more readers. Moreover, it also allows bloggers to expand their territory, engaging in conversation and discussion with their peers.

    Some questions

How far back are trends traced? Is there any sort of widget, allowing users to keep track of certain keywords on a daily basis?
