TinyPictures.us and Radar.net - Cameraphones Have Never Been Easier

    radar

Tiny Pictures, Inc. has come up with a way to improve camperaphone picture and video sharing. They make sharing pictures and videos between invited friends easy and quick, viewers being able to comment instantly on the received pictures as well through their service called Radar. Their goal is to get people using their cameraphones as often as possible, sharing the smallest moments and learning to communicate with the pictures, instead of just with texts and calls (supposedly a picture´s worth a thousand words). Pictures can be shared between any mobile networks as well as most devices. There is a free mobile website at http://radar.net as well as a premium handset client that costs around $3 per month for select handsets.

    In their own words

“Mobile phones are the real personal computers: always-on always-with-you connections to the people in your life, and now they have cameras. And the cameraphone is not just more-convenient photography, it"s a way to share and stay in touch. It"s an evolution of the tools but a revolution in how we use them.

    Some questions

How will this compete with CellBlock? Will people who don´t want to bother with sending pictures take the time to invite their friends and get them to signup for Radar? Will people want to pay for sending pictures as often as Tiny Pictures is anticipating? Will the movement towards flat rate data plans and combination pricing for text and picture messaging reduce the barriers for new users to try Radar?
