    Teneros.com - Ending Email Downtime

Startup Teneros keeps companies on track and on top of their email when Microsoft Exchange crashes. This continuity application allows small to medium sized businesses to keep the mail flowing; essentially it backs up the servers.

It’s latest iSeries tools integrate with Blackberries, Goodlink, Iron Mountain and other archiving systems. During an Exchange outage, all data is filtered for corruption, so companies get high quality corruption free copies of their emails. Installation take about 15 minutes and no modifications or extra software is needed on the Exchange server or infrastructure. Teneros supports Exchange 2003. It boasts zero downtime and enhanced data protection.

    Teneros.com In their own words

“At last, cost-effective, 24X7 continuity for Microsoft Exchange infrastructure is available with the Teneros Application Continuity Appliances for Microsoft Exchange. The new iSeries provides complete email application and data continuity in local high availability and remote disaster recovery models, offering “i”ntegration with the popular applications running in Microsoft Exchange environments including Blackberry, Goodlink, Microsoft Mobile, Cisco Unity, KVS, Iron Mountain, and other archiving systems using Microsoft Exchange Journaling. You will never have another email outage when your Exchange servers are protected by Teneros appliances.”

Why Teneros.com might be a killer

The recently financed company does offer a compelling product. Businesses cannot afford to lose their data; as such continuity apps are a vital focus point for boardroom heads. Given that two thirds of all companies use Microsoft Exchange, downtime is out of the question.

    Some questions about Teneros.com

Will Microsoft buy them out? Or will they simply fix the flaws on Exchange making Teneros obsolete? Banking on Exchange crashes doesn’t seem like a very sound business decision.
