Slurl is a new service which provides location based linking for the popular metaverse SecondLife. If you already have Second Life installed clicking on any location on the map will automatically teleport you there. For non-Second Life denizens, the site offers them a chance to sign up rather than getting an error message when clicking on links that begin with 'secondlife://. Creating your very own Slurl is simple: all you have to do is link to Slurl with your SL location. To customize window content (changing the title, editing the window message, changing the window image) you may add query strings.

In addition to allowing customized control over mapping locations in Second Life, SLurl also provides a better experience for web users who don't have Second Life.
