    ShowDango.com - Webinars, Anyone?

    showdango

ShowDango sounds flashy, a little Broadway, mixed in with Vegas, and a dash of another website, but really it’s a clever name for something not so glitzy. So what is ShowDango? It’s a new website for webinars and webcasts. Though, not the most entertaining aspect of the web, ShowDango is informative and extremely useful especially for those in the academic field or even business and technology. Simply put, ShowDango lets you submit information about your upcoming webinar. Simply submit, the day, time, and timezone, as well as the category and keyword indexing. That way webinars are searchable through a number of means and visitors can easily find something that interests them. RSS feeds are provided by category and it’s free to register.

    In their own words

“Showdango is a new web site that provides a community-driven index of webinars/webcasts. Simply stated, a webinar, or webcast, is a seminar or workshop that is conducted online via the web.

The power of webinars/webcasts is that they enable just about anyone to share/learn information from others without any geographic boundaries. As a webinar attendee you can educate yourself on a variety of topics without having to travel anywhere. As a webinar presenter, you can reach a broader and more diverse audience in different parts of the world.”

Why it might be a killer

ShowDango is a nifty little tool to advertise your webinars. It’s simple to use right off the bat without bothering about RSS or Google Calendar; but those come in handy too. Finding webinars is breeze as well.

    Some questions

Does ShowDango have a sound business model? Will there be many subscribers to the premium version—enough to make an impact? Will ShowDango be able to attract visitors?
