    shoutlet

Don’t just email your messages, shout them out! The Shoutlet platform is a new breed of marketing tools designed around the mysterious world of web 2.0 to rid the marketing world of dull and often ineffective emails. Using the latest in social media technology, messages or “shouts” can be sent out and tracked, including who read your messages and which sections they read. On top of their robust social communication features, Shoutlet also functions as a a contact organizer. Some of the web 2.0 features that Shoutlet offers include creating and sharing RSS feeds, podcasts, SMS, and HTML or text emails.

    In their own words

"Shoutlet is the world's first Web 2.0 marketing tool built for companies to use the latest social media technology to communicate to their core audience. A "shout" is a Podcast, Email (HTML or Text), RSS Feed, or Mobile Phone Text Message (SMS). Shouts can be created, distributed, and tracked using Shoutlet's online interface. Yes, every new client will have 2 hours of web-based training with their initial sign up. Afterwards, phone and email support is available free of charge for the duration of your contract. Shoutlet is a Web 2.0 marketing tool that allows marketers to take advantage of the latest technology in social communication (Podcasts, Mobile Phone Message (SMS), RSS Feeds, and Emails)."

Why it might be a killer

The more common email marketing services only offer text emailing, yet Shoutlet understands the power of Web 2.0 features such as RSS, podcasts, SMS, and then applies that technology on their platform. Their suite of tools are great for small to medium sized businesses who typically only use emails and newsletters to communicate.

    Some questions

They don’t provide any information concerning pricing plans on their website. How much will they begin to charge for their service, will they offer a fermium or free-trial? Can you export and import files and contacts from your desktop to Shoutlet?
