Screencasters.HeathenX provides screencast tutorials for the use of open source software Inkscape, a graphics editor.
Inkscape allows users to tweak and transform photos and drawings; its capabilities are similar to those of Illustrator and CorelDraw. Of course, it has many features which can be confusing to the novice and even intermediate user, which is the reason for Screencast.heathenx. All screencast videos on the site are licensed under the Creative Commons license, which means it can be shared and reworked. The videos come in two formats—streaming Adobe Flash (FLV) for watching online and H.264/MPEG-4 (AVI) for downloading and viewing offline. There are currently 60 episodes in the Inkscape screencast series. These run the gamut from texturing techniques to Scrapbooking effects. All screencasts are compatible with Windows, Macs and Linux.
