ReliefInSite.com - Facebook Health Diary App

    reliefinsite

Finally, a Facebook application that your mother would approve of: ReliefInsite.com. On Facebook, users have a million ways to gossip, vent, communicate and plan, but no way to keep track of their health. ReliefInsite.com has created a Facebook app that serves as a patient health recording system. The basic idea is that using the application, Facebook members can build their own health journal and record any and all health issues that come up. Keeping track of specific pains and reoccurring (yet often overlooked) aches is very easy and then relaying (exporting) the information to a doctor is simple. Everyone has had the experience when they feel like hell fo' real but when they finally get themselves into the doctors office, the pain magically goes away and they forget how to describe it. In these cases doctors are expected to be mind readers but often fall short and can't diagnose the problem. Now, using this application, people can keep track of the way their body is acting and make it easier to find corrective solutions. Real doctors with pain management education have developed the ReliefInsite Facebook program and it is not a Facebook app to roll your eyes at, this one is sincere.

    In their own words

"We are extremely excited to be the first company to deliver a personal health record built on Facebook Platform," said Fred Eberlein, CEO and founder of ReliefInsite. "Millions of individuals suffer from pain, so it's wonderful to have this opportunity to offer our pain management tool to the millions of people who use Facebook every day."

Why it might be a killer

What a breath of fresh air! This application is exciting and can actually serve to help the zillions of members of Facebook. Most of the members are in high school and college and are not used to reporting minor pains and aches. However, these minor issues can become serious in the future and having a journal with accurate entries will be increasingly helpful to these wild n' crazy kids.

    Some questions

Is the information kept private on Facebook? It must be, or users will never reveal all their physical problems because nobody wants other Facebook stalkers finding out about their embarrassing rashes.
