    ReadingTest.Sytes.org - Interesting Site Viewer

    readingtest

Did you ever get that chain email that claimed that as long as the first and last letter of a word are on the same place, you can still read the word with the other letters scrambled? Even if you didn’t get it, you should still enjoy Readingtest.sytes.org. This site will allow you to take that email’s claim and put it to test on your favorite websites. Just tell the site what website you want to scramble up and see the results for yourself. It’s amazing how quick the site can take any other website and scramble up the words. Another amazing thing is how the text is still understandable with the words scrambled up. According to the site, the orders of letters on a word don’t really matter, as the human mind only reads words as a whole, not every letter individually. If the site doesn’t interest you, you’ll at least be able to freak people out by showing them their websites all scrambled up.

    In their own words

“Aoccdrnig to rseearch, it deosn't mttaer in waht oredr the ltteers in a wrod are, the olny iprmoatnt tihng is taht the frist and lsat ltteer be in the rghit pclae. The rset can be a taotl mses and you can sitll raed it wouthit porbelm.”

Why it might be a killer

While not being a particularly useful tool, this site is really fun. It allows you to put your mind to the test, and see your favorite sites all scrambled up.

    Some questions

Won’t people get tired of this really fast? Are there any true advantages (or uses, for that matter) to the site?
