Planix is an application that helps individuals and companies estimate specific elements of their projects. Planix can find estimates for your team to help them become organize and find defaults and issues. Planix’s estimate tool works by using COCOMO )constructive cost model) Function point analysis, and case points. You can estimate ranges, staffing, granular costs and language implementation by seeing best and worst case scenarios. There is a "what if" tool which can compare different project scenarios to see which ones are the most useful and efficient. The solo version of Planix is free but only allows you to have one active project at a time. There are five other upgrading options that range from $12.95 per month to contacting for further information and rang from two active projects to unlimited active projects.

Planix has an attracting interface, the blue and black background do a great job at making the writing stand out. The homepage highlights all of the applications functions nicely. It is nice that there are different options for the application so that an individual and a large company are not paying the same price.
The tour function was not working when I was visiting the site. The tour function is a great way for people to visually understand the concept of the application so hopefully it will be fixed soon. When will the Planix platform include the other aspects of project management besides the estimates tool?
