OttoBib.com - Instant Bibliographies

You’ve just stayed up all night doing something you swore you wouldn’t do again: toil through all 15 pages of that polisci term paper assigned a month and a half ago. Technically, you’re done. That is to say, you would be done if you had bothered to keep track of your sources and type out that dreaded bibliography. Luckily, for you there’s OttoBib, a new site that makes bibliography writing a breeze. The concept is simple: provide the ISBN (International Standard Book Number) of the book in question, then choose the bibliography format—MLA, APA, Chicago etc. OttoBib will do the rest. Simply click “Get Citations” and you’ve got one book down for your bibliography. OttoBib will even give you a permanent URL for your reference. Don’t worry, no one will ever have to know.

1. A bibliography based on looking up the data online.
2. Webpage that would allow the reader/teacher to see the books, their covers, links to Amazon or other online references.”

If only OttoBib were around years ago, it would have saved thousands of students a lot of time. I certainly could have used it. OttoBib definitely is useful and easy to use with a potentially huge user base

Will OttoBib’s references make the grade? Will they be correctly formatted as promised or is it fool proof? It’s a good system only if it gets the job done, and with anal professors it may be a tough sell
