OSFeeds.com - Aggregating Mac, Microsoft and Linux News

    osfeeds

The aim of OSFeeds is to dig up and aggregate the latest news about Macs, Microsoft, and Linux, the major operating systems out there. So here's what you get: on the front page, you'll find feeds organized by source among which are Lifehacker, Digg, Gizmodo, and Cnet; a roll over preview box gives you a snapshot of what the story's about; below the text you'll find the latest Youtube videos and podcasts pertaining to whichever OS you've chosen to read about. Clicking on a headline brings keeps you on site, bringing the article to you. The site also has a search box if you should happen to be looking for a specific topic; you can also keep track of the most popular links for each topic across the site. If there's a feed you'd like to see added, drop them a line.

    In their own words

"We've scoured the deepest parts of the internet to find the most interesting content around Apple, Microsoft and Linux, and have brought it to you in a way you can get your fix... fast"

Why it might be a killer

OSfeeds save you time and research. They've compiled all relevant OS news on one, streamlined, easy to read page. They've included videos and podcasts as well. Makes it easier than having to log in to a feed reader.

    Some questions

Isn't this something you could easily do yourself with your own feed reader?
Rather than linking you directly to the outbound source, OSFeeds brings you to another screen with a brief summary, prompting you to click yet again to get to the whole story—a more direct approach would seem to wanting. Also some links don't even work. The presentation is a little low key, could use some sprucing up.
