ObjectGraph.com/Dictionary - Ajax Reference Tools

ObjectGraphs Ajax Dictionary is a simple, streamlined dictionary that suggests words as you type. It works like Google Suggest. For example, type in the word mauve: with the letter M the list reads M, Ma, Maa, and Maad, from mau you’ll get Macucaco, some type of lemur, maud, maudeline, etc--you get the point. Besides the 1913 dictionary, there’s a pretty handy thesaurus, along with a FOLDOC computing dictionary, and an elements reference for looking up things like Potassium and Krypton. Additionally, there’s PHP Function reference manual. The newest addition is an English Japanese dictionary. Select through the different dictionaries to find the results you need.

This is a very low key yet neat tool. Auto suggest may not be thrilling news now, but the ObjectGraph reference works are extremely practical. Useful for finding those words that are at the tip of your tongue.

The main dictionary is pretty outdated—it’s from the year 1913. You won’t find many modern words, meanings have changed, and there’s simply a lot missing. How up to date are the other reference tools?
