com, a new start page tool, takes users’ individual online wants and needs, and conglomerates them all into one customized dashboard. Users tweak their respective Surf Pads to reflect the information they want quick access to, whether it is weather, music, their email, Wikipedia articles, YouTube videos, or any other number of fine-tuned details. Minute accessories, such as a calculator, to significant details, such as upcoming travel information, is all accessible in one centralized forum with MySurfPad.

“MySurfPad.com was born out of a personal frustration of having to visit numerous web pages to access my information and tools. In designing the site, we wanted to create a layout where we could consolidate the best of my favorite links and basic tools on one page for easy, efficient access. The site continued to evolve from having news, tools and search engines to incorporating live international TV/radio, games and hundreds of other useful modules, turning MySurfPad.com into a search, news and entertainment epicenter.”

Although this is not the most visually pleasing tool, this site does have great potential. The automatic links, such as those to Facebook and Wikipedia, connect users to where they want to go. An abundance of choices provide users with numerous customizable options.
