Mozy is a backup and storage service that claims to backup your files auto-magically. Well, as the old chinese adage goes “itÂ"s not magic, itÂ"s science!” Mozy provides you 2 Gigs of of free storage space with an option to go unlimited at $5 dollars a month. The service also provides open/locked file support, block-level differential backup, continuous or scheduled backup options, 128-bit SSL support, and 448-bit blowfish encryption. Uh, basically they mean they´re pretty serious about backups, which someone has gotta be, since each and everytime we lose a 50 page report we PROMISE ourselves to back it up next time, which usually never seems to happen. The support and fish encryption stuff basically means your data will be secured over the server and during transport, and you will also receive block level incremental backups, bandwidth throttling, file versioning, and public/private key encryption, as well as backup updates on when your files are new or changed.
