    MioNews.com - FriendFeed Enhanced

    mionews

Addicted to FriendFeed, the web’s new Twitter replacement? If so, you probably should check out MioNews, the FriendFeed third party app which brings in some rather handy features to rather spartan FF. MioNews has built in ratings, so you can actually indicate which stories you like and don’t like, it’s also got automatic recommendations and organizational folders. You can group friends into folders, such as family or colleagues, for easier feed management. MioNews also allows you to follow specific topics. Users can select topics and read updates by groupings. Stories may be read in full or users can simply browse the titles. Double clicking on any item takes you directly to the original source; however, stories may be viewed in the site’s Reading Pane where you can also add comments, share and rate a post.

    In their own words

"mioNews is a new way to interact with your friends. By building on top of the popular FriendFeed service, mioNews makes finding new stories fun, fast, and quick."

Why it might be a killer

As with other FriendFeed apps, MioNews filters through the noise—it fine tunes your viewing and reading options so you get only the feeds that match your preferences. It has a professional interface which may appeal to more business users. It’s approach to filtering FriendFeed is unique and more is on the way.

    Some questions

What other features can we expect from MioNews? How will it differentiate itself from the other FF apps?
