MapMe is a Google Map tool that lets users get creative. With this site, users can create a map of their favorite destinations, travels, or places. They also have the ability to start a community map for other users and guests to share, where everyone can upload their favorite pictures, videos, and even add their own destinations of choice. From the site, maps can be shared to friends and other users across the world. Take a peek at older maps; browse the most recent and most popular for inspiration. Keep everyone linked on your favorite and visited locations, and get their opinions on those places, no matter where on the globe they may be.

“MAPme.com can be used to create anything from travel guides for any entire country, or a detailed view of a specific street. The maps can be personal (and private if required) or community based (where content is moderated) or a complete free for all (where anyone can contribute). Hopefully these various map 'types' will give map creators enough flexibility to adjust the way that other people view and relate to the maps they create.”

MapMe is a fun idea, and does bring users together to collaborate and comment on locations they all may know, or wish to know. However, the site lacks excitement, and appears to be simply another Google Map. The site should be revamped and diversified so that its features stand out from the other Google Map mashups.
