LeverageCard.com - Manage All Your Gift Cards

    leveragecard

Just in time for the holiday season, Leverage has come to solve the problem of gift cards. Gift cards are hugely popular items to give, and yet many cards remain unredeemed. The end result bodes well for companies, but for you the consumer, you’re out of luck. Leverage aims to even out the playing field, giving consumers a way to manage, trade, and keep track of your gift cards. Register your gift cards on site to keep tabs on the spending amount left on each one. Leverage also allows you to buy gift cards or swap them out for something else. Additionally, you can manage other reward programs such as frequent flyer miles. For each card registered on site Leverage will pay interest on the card’s value—1% on cards from other retailers and 3.2% for cards bought on the site. They’ll also focus on target advertising, aiming ads at people who hold a card for a particular store. All information is kept private and anonymous.

    In their own words

“Leverage was developed to reduce the increasing hassles involved with managing gift cards and loyalty and rewards programs, and also to help consumers reduce the retail SPAM and clutter that they have to deal with on a daily basis. Unlike many other services that only do a fraction of what we do, it’s completely free. Creating an account takes less than one minute and gives you access to a wide-range of features.”

Why it might be a killer

Leverage helps consumers get the most out of their gift cards. Rather than having them expire, unused, users can keep track of all the money left on the cards, and therefore rest assured that they are getting the most use they can from each card. Also, with Leverage, users will only get marketing emails in their Leverage account and not their regular inbox.

    Some questions

Will people take the time to use this site? If they do enter in their gift cards and register on site, will they follow up, or will they simply forget about it and their gift cards? Will they send out reminders to users so they won’t forget?
