Justfreebooks.info - Find Great Reads for Free

    justfreebooks

Books have yet to disappear despite predictions to the contrary; there’s no substitute for curling up in bed with a leather bound hardback on a winter’s evening. However, for some the cost of a real book is a bit too steep, which is why services like the Gutenberg project are perfect. After all, sometimes you simply cannot be bothered to buy a book or perhaps it’s unavailable. In these cases you’re bound to search the internet for the e-version. It’s not so easy though to find entire books online, which is why Justfreebooks exists. The site searches over 300 web sites so that you can find the book you need. Using it is as easy as doing a Google search; just type in the title or author of the book you want. Searches can be further refined by type: audio books, open books, Palm Reader books, etc. The site is available in Spanish too.

    In their own words

“Justfreebooks search the content of more than 300 web sites, including gutenberg.org, wikibooks.org and archive.org. With Justfreebooks you can find public domain texts, open books, free audio books, ad-supported books and more. Just type in the search box the book, author or theme you want to find.”

Why it might be a killer

Searching for free books isn’t as easy as it sounds; sometimes you have to wade through pages of results to find what you’re really looking for; Justfreebooks performs a search in seconds, saving you time and sparing you from headaches. It’s a good tool for students who need to read classic texts for their courses. It’s also great for bored vacationers who need something to read.

    Some questions

The site would do well to offer more advanced filtering options. The results aren’t always what you’re looking for. How are websites chosen? How is the site going to attract users? And how are they going to make a profit?
