IMUnitive.com - Integrative Web-Based IM Client
IMUnitive is an integrative chat client that performs two separate but related functions. To begin with, it allows users access to its "Global IM" feature, which lets you interact with all your buddies across any given IM platforms.
To use Global IM, start by signing up for an account with IMUnitive. Upon entering your username and password, you'll be re-directed to the GlobalIM start page where you'll be given the option of synching your Global IM account with other IM clients by entering in your respective user names and passwords for each one. Your buddies will show up as they would in a normal IM window, complete with status information, and will include an icon next to their user name which represents their IM client. You can interact with your buddies as you would normally; you can chat, IM, transfer files, etc. Buddies are grouped automatically by IM client, but you can re-organize them into groups if you wish. IMUnitive's second feature is "Global Link", which operates a round the same concept as GlobalIM, except for it uses a personalized url that lets you interact with people. You can embed this url in your webpages, attach it to your email signature, or simply have those who want to contact you enter it directly into their browser bar for a web-based chat.
