In their own words
“Hosting is obsolete
When you create or import an app with Heroku, it's already live on the web. No configuration or deployment necessary.”
Why it might be a killer
Heroku simplifies Ruby development, fulfilling a much needed niche. Developers can focus on making cool new tools for the public without having to worry about development. It bridges the creation of an idea to its execution. Users could set up demos for clients, they could experiment with ideas and see how they play out—it’s a great idea.
Some questions
Will users be able to access a development/editing version of site which they can work with without affecting the live, deployed content? Scaling? Cost?
