Grouptivity.com - Collaborate Easily Through Email

    grouptivity

Working in groups, collaborating on projects, sharing infoâ€"simple things to do, you´d think, but these days getting everyone on the same page can be difficult. Despite all our fancy new communication tools, there´s always still the problem of coordination. Grouptivity offers an easy and effective solution. It works through your email and allows you to set up private discussions, inviting friends from Skype, Yahoo, AIM and MSN Messenger. A discussion button in the toolbar allows you to instantly email content of interest, be it text, photos or video, from any web page. From there you can start a discussion forum; participants don´t have to log-in to respond or receive messages. Grouptivity comes equipped with handy templates for your groupMail, so that you can easily create, polls, surveys and feedback forms. You can get a paid account without advertising, as well as unlimited email uploads with up to five attachments and you can replace the Grouptivity logo wit your own; otherwise, just opt for the free, ad-supported version.

    In their own words

“Grouptivity provides an easy way to select content, share and discuss with others in a private forum.”

Why it might be a killer

Grouptivity is a great tool for bloggers who want to make discussions around their content easier. It´s also very useful for businesses, replacing an endless line of “Re:re:re:” emails, and users will be able to use their regular email addresses. This sort of mash-up of Yahoo Groups and email will find many welcome users.

    Some questions

Would´t this work better if it were embedded with your regular email providers, e.g. Gmail, Yahoo, or Hotmail? How will Grouptivity differentiate itself from others offering similar services?
