GrabUp.com - Easy Screenshot Sharing for Macs

    grabup

Mac users now have a free, easy way to grab screenshots for sharing or saving to their desktop. GrabUp, a new Mac OS X mini-app, takes advantage of a Mac’s built-in ability to take screen shots, but also quickly uploads the snapshot to the GrabUp.com server and automatically copies the corresponding URL to your clipboard. On any machine running Mac OS X, you can you can hit Command-Shift-4 and a crosshairs will appear, which you drag from one corner of your desired screenshot to the other. Normally, though, this simply saves a copy to your desktop. Once you have downloaded GrabUp, the selected image will also be saved to the web for easier sharing. Your screenshot is saved privately on GrabUp’s server, and for now, the site says your screenshot will stay saved there indefinitely.

    In their own words

"Sending screen grabs to your friends has always been an unnecessarily slow and arduous task. Taking the screen shot, opening a browser, loading up an image host, uploading the image then copying and pasting the link... grabup makes that entire process instant."

Why it might be a killer

If you are a Mac User who wants to share screenshots via the web, GrabUp is certainly a quick and easy tool to help you do just that for free.

    Some questions

If GrabUp is already hosting your screenshot images anyways, could they add a feature to generate HTML, IMG, etc. code for posting the image on other websites?
