    Gliffy.com - Making Diagrams in a Jiffy

    gliffy

Gliffy is a program designed for building diagrams. Like MS Visio, Gliffy operates on a simple drag and drop concept wherein you input your objects to specify a plan or idea flow. Gliffy makes visualizing and communicating complex ideas effortless. You can create flowcharts, network diagrams, UI wireframes and floor plans with stencils of furniture included. Unlike Visio, Gliffy is cost-free and being web-based, there is nothing to download. As such there is no need to backup your work as Gliffy maintains a copy of all your changes, and all files are stored securely on their servers. You can even collaborate on projects, adding collaborators by entering in email addresses. For Enterprise users, the Gliffy Plugin for Confluence provides drawing capabilities for the wiki Confluence. Gliffy is easy enough to use that anyone can spice up their presentations with great looking diagrams.

    In their own words

“Gliffy is easy, free, and fun.”

Why it might be a killer

Gliffy offers a practical, user-friendly product for free. Instead of dishing out a huge sum for MS Visio, users can do the same thing with Gliffy. With paying customers such as Adobe, Cornell University, and Harvard Business School on the Gliffy bandwagon, Gliffy´s gaining momentum.

    Some questions

Gliffy is still in beta, will it be able to handle increased use? What if the server fails? Is there enough customer service to provide support?
