GiftZinger.com - Thoughtful Giving

Gift Zinger takes the pain out of buying a gift for someone, which we all know can be an incredibly daunting task, especially if you don’t know the person very well. You simply go to their homepage, select your receivers age, gender, category and the kind of occasion. For instance, I wanted to know where I could find the perfect pair of shoes to give at a Baptism. Any normal person might draw a blank, but the challenge was not nearly as difficult for Gift Zinger, which generated results in under 3 seconds. Not too shabby. From there, you can generate feedback from your receiver based on what they’ve shared about their preferences, histories, likes and dislikes. Make the perfect choice together and hopefully, no one will be left with an unused giftcard or the wrong baptism shoes ever again.

Giftzinger.com is the easy way for busy people to give more thoughtfully. Giftzinger allows a gift-giver to discover and find gifts for their gift recipient by helping them share their gift-giving preferences, histories, likes and dislikes.

Gift Zinger is still looking very much in beta, but the site has some potential if they can sponsor more companies on their website, and if they can get the word out about thoughtful giving. I’d probably go with another trusted ecommerce search engine before I hit up this one, for all intensive purposes, given that they simply, have more content and more of what I am looking for. Their point of difference is that you can actually get feedback from your receiver without having to ask that awkward question. (i.e…So, tell me again what you want for your birthday/anniversary/coming out party?)

Will Gift Zinger sponsor more merchandising e-stores and retailers? How will they expand their services from here?
